Mandelic acid 5% skin prep water by Wishtrend : Review
Mandelic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid which helps in gentle exfoliation of the skin. It also helps in reducing dark spots on the skin giving an even toned complexion. Mandelic acid gives the skin a smoother texture and promotes collagen synthesis giving a youthful appearance. The molecular structure of mandelic acid is slightly bigger than other alpha hydroxy acids such as glycolic acid which makes mandelic acid safe to use at home even for sensitive skin. Due to the bigger molecular structure, mandelic acid does not penetrate deep into the skin resulting in reducing the side effects or irritation that can be caused by other alpha hydroxy acids.

My experience with the product-
First time I purchased this product I was really excited to use it, as I wanted to include some kind of AHA exfoliator on my skin. The product is really gentle on the skin but it effectively exfoliates and imparts an immediate glow. This prep water helps in controlling sebum production on the skin. My skin does not feel dry after using this product as it contains hydrating agents such as beta glucan, centella asiatica, houttuynia cordata and sodium hyaluronate. The product also contains licorice root extract which is known for reducing dark spots and hyperpigmentation on the skin.
I use this skin prep water only 2-3 times a week only at night and follow with my hydrating serums and moisturiser.
Pros-
Gentle on the skin.
Suitable for beginners and sensitive skin.
Comes in two sizes.
Travel friendly.
Gives a nice glow to the skin.
Fragrance free.
Controls sebum production.
Reduces appearance of dark spots.
An excellent chemical exfoliator for people who don't like to use gritty scrubs.
Contains hydrating and moisturising agents.
Cons-
None for me.
Will I recommend it?
Absolutely yes!! I have been repurchasing it again and again. One of the best I've tried so far.
